What were the odds of 2 consecutive Sundays in November having perfect weather? The 87 riders who showed up yesterday and rode the sweet Knight-built rough scambles track in T-shirt weather found the odds quite good indeed. The course was laid out the same as last week but built a little more groovy and was enjoyed by all. The Dirt Diggers were back in force and lead home this time by Jamie Adams. Hunter Brooks showed his mettle in the 85cc class, Kevin Keeran rode what looked like his flattracker on knobbies and won the Vet +30 class, Phil Bakarich won the Vints, Rick Lytle took the checkers in Super Senior, the 65cc class was won by Justin Anselmi, Dale Hansen was super fast and super smooth in the Senior class, Sammy Knox was the man in the Open class, Cody Ward's folks drove all the way from South San Francisco to watch him win the 50cc class, Vaughn McCafferty and Joe Hernandez battled hard but Vaughn took the win in the 250 class, Michael Rodriguez was super smooth on his 100 Honda to win the 100/150 Sport class, Riley Cox was the quickest of the 200/230 Hondas and Evan Souza was the first rider home in the 100 Youth class.
There is talk within the LMC of either some more rough scrambles or perhaps a Marathon or two before the dirttrack season starts back up in April. If more events are scheduled, the LMC will get the word out ASAP.
